Consent, privacy & music

Guests agree to be filmed and to their clips being used in your film when they join — before they can capture anything. Any guest can ask for their clips to be removed, from their own phone, at any time. We action it within 24 hours, including from a film already delivered.

Children: we default to conservative use and ask you to confirm a parent is comfortable before a child appears in a shared cut.

Galleries are private by default and password-protectable. We never publish your footage without written permission. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest.

Raw footage is kept for your storage window, then deleted after a final reminder; you can delete it sooner.

You choose and upload your own song, and confirm you hold the rights to use it. We cut your film to it — the rights stay yours, and Film By Us isn't liable for music you supply.

A commercial song you love isn't automatically cleared just because it was played at the wedding, and platforms like Instagram may mute it. No song? Your film is delivered silent and you can add one and re-render any time.

Your pass is fully refundable, no questions asked, until your event has actually been used — that's the earliest of your guests uploading more than 500 MB of footage, you starting a film edit, or us delivering a film. Before any of that, you get everything back.
